Biodiesel

The use of domestic, renewable sources of energy reduces our dependence on imported oil, thereby improving our nation's energy security. Biodiesel is one of the most promising replacements for traditional petroleum energy. As an alternative fuel, biodiesel is simply diesel fuel made from a variety of biomass sources.

EFP partners will produce up to 10,000 gallons of biodiesel per week by working with the local agricultural community to identify suitable feedstocks for conversion. Two of our newest tenants have leased space in the park and are developing a micro biodiesel plant that can produce 15 million gallons of clean fuel per year. These tenants will be supplying our onsite biodiesel generators and construction equipment with fuel.
